Syamili's primary discipline is Carnatic vocal, which means she teaches the Veena as a singer would, with raga grammar and gamaka phrasing as the priority. The strings serve the music, not the other way around.

Postgraduate-level musical training

Her M.A. in Music (Kannur University) and B.A. (Sree Swathi Thirunal, University of Kerala) put her in the small minority of UAE Veena teachers with formal university credentials in the discipline.

Multilingual teaching

Lessons in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English, the language flexibility opens Veena training to the full UAE classical music community, not just one diaspora group.
