For 35+ years and over 10,000 students, Kairali Arts Centre has taught Indian classical music and dance. The Kairali Music Tools App takes everything a student needs to practice and puts it in one free, ad-free place.
Why we built it
Every music student knows the daily friction. You open one app for a tanpura drone, another for a metronome, a third to check your pitch, a website for tuning, a notebook for sheet music — and almost all of them are buried in ads, paywalls and trackers. For a child practising Carnatic swaras or a teacher preparing a lesson, that fragmentation gets in the way of the music itself.
Founded in 1991 under Mini Radhakrishnan, Kairali has trained generations of musicians and dancers in Sharjah. We kept hearing the same thing from our own teachers and students: “why isn’t there one clean, free place with all the tools we actually use?” So we built one.
A school and a software team, together
The app grew out of a collaboration between Dhanish Radhakrishnan at Kairali Arts Centre and Aman from Leet IT Solutions. One side brought decades of classroom reality — what teachers and students truly need every day; the other brought the engineering to make it fast, beautiful and free. The first tool we shipped together was the Sheet Music creator, after watching teachers waste hours hand-drawing notation for each student. From there, the rest of the toolkit followed.
The tools — free, no ads, no tracking
For teachers, it removes the busywork — prepare notation, set a tempo, share a drone, and spend class time teaching instead of setting up. For students, every tool they need is one tap away, with nothing selling to them in between.
